Mondays 7pm - 8:30pm & Thursdays 6:15pm - 7:45pm
Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 1/2, who make up the second section of the Scouting family, between Beavers and Scouts.
During their time in the Pack, Cub Scouts will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing, and camping. All of these activities will count towards at least 1 of the badges available in the Cub Scout programme.
There is a range of awards available to Cub Scouts, which are to be worn on their uniforms to show everyone how well they're doing. The highest of which is the Chief Scout Silver Award.
In the pursuit of the Chief Scout Silver Award, Cub Scouts must gain all 7 of the Challenge Awards, and during their 2 and a half years as a Cub Scout young people can also gain 37 Activity Awards, and 14 Staged Awards.
Cub Scouts get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm, and at least once a year they will be able to go camping with the rest of the Pack and take part in all kinds of outdoor activities because we know that when working with young people it is essential to keep the programme fresh, exciting, relaxed, and most importantly fun!
In the Programme, it's both what you do and the way that you do it that gets results. To help in providing variety and keeping interest in the activities, will split the programme down into 6 Programme Zones which correlate with the Challenge Awards and employ numerous different methods when delivering our programme each week. These methods include;
